Just because my friends are white 
Doesn’t mean that they’re racist! 
I know they’d never judge people 
By the color of their faces

I’m sorry my dear friend 
For the way they look at you 
Placing judgment and labels 
For which you did not do 

Trust me I know the feeling
As a Blackman what I go through 
And how people make assumptions 
Before they actually get to know you

Just because someone is white, 
Doesn’t mean they are racist
Just because someone is black 
Doesn’t mean that they’re threat

We have sports heroes from all origins 
Playing together stride for stride
And our soldiers from all walks of life 
Standing firm side-by-side

Teachers of every ethnic background
Educating every mind to strive
Many nationalities of the medical field
Helping to keep us all alive

We all work together and live together 
By respecting one another 
We eat together We sing together
Regardless of our color
